What Did Jeanne Shaheen Know?
Concord, NH – NHGOP Chairman Stephen Stepanek released the following statement regarding this release from the State Department of Justice uncovering egregious sexual assault crimes committed in the 1990s at the Youth Development Center during then-Governor Shaheen’s first term in office:
“What did then-Governor Shaheen know about the abuses within the Youth Development Center during her term as Governor? Under her watch, our state’s most vulnerable population – at-risk children – faced severe sexual assault perpetuated by state employees. Senator Shaheen must answer for what her administration knew and when they knew it – anything short of full transparency on this matter is unacceptable.”
