The Legislative Fiscal Committee again voted down acceptance of the $46 million federal grant for innovation and charter schools. Party line vote.

The Northeast Woodlands Charter School was intending to open this Fall in Conway.

They need funding from this grant however.

The Head of School had moved to NH for this opportunity. Others have changed life plans as well. And there were 134 kids enrolled.

Linked here is a letter to the committee from Sen Bradley along with information on the school. This document was not even allowed to be made available at the meeting but was obtained by one of our Republican committee members.

You should know that one of my colleagues was told by a State Senator that the grant would not be accepted unless all jobs would be union jobs.

Any Democrat running for office has to be asked about their position on the grant – and school choice. The public has to know!
