SHAHEEN AND HASSAN EMBARRASS NEW HAMPSHIRE

Concord, NH – Following the U.S. Senate vote to acquit President Trump, NHGOP Chairman Stephen Stepanek released the following statement regarding New Hampshire’s Democrat Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan voting to remove President Trump from office:

“Senator Shaheen and Hassan’s votes to remove President Trump from office based off a flawed and partisan impeachment process leave a black mark on the State of New Hampshire. With voters in New Hampshire going to the polls next week in the Republican and Democrat Presidential Primaries this vote to remove a duly-elected President from office on such a baseless charge can only divide our country further. The United States Senate was wise to acquit President Trump and preserve the United States Constitution but New Hampshire needs to retire Jeanne Shaheen in November to avoid further embarrassment during President Trump’s second term.”
