The acceptance of the recommendation passed 14-10 on a party line vote. Senator Chuck Morse (R-Salem), a member of the Joint Committee, issued the following statement:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt is unfortunate that the process was not followed by the Joint Committee on Employee Relations. This Committee was required by law to have met back in the Fall of 2018 as the collective bargaining process began,\u201d said Senator Chuck Morse (R-Salem). \u201cInstead, it only met after the fact finder&#8217;s report was issued in order to make a political statement. These types of committees are established by the legislature to do the work of the people of this state; using them for purely political purposes only when convenient is a disservice to all Granite Staters.
