Washington Valley Economic Council is happy to announce that funding has been received from Rural Micro-Entrepreneur Assistance Program (RMAP) to offer loans to small businesses in the area.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>An Express Loan Program has been specifically put in place to offer expedited loan closings to help small businesses get through the COVID-19 crisis.<\/p>\n<p>Here is an outline of the program:<\/p>\n<p>COVID-19 Express Loan Package<br \/>\nRural Microentrepreneur Assistance Program<\/p>\n<p>Guidelines<\/p>\n<p>1.      Maximum loan amount &#8211; $25,000<br \/>\n2.      Must be an existing business<br \/>\n3.      Businesses with up to 10 employees including owner<br \/>\n4.      Minimum credit score 640. For credit scores lower than this, customer may submit narrative describing credit score problem<\/p>\n<p>Terms<\/p>\n<p>1.      Total loan term &#8211; 5 years<br \/>\n2.      Interest rate \u2013 2.25%<br \/>\n3.      Interest free \u2013 months 1 &#8211; 3<br \/>\n4.      Interest only \u2013 months 3 \u2013 6<br \/>\n5.      Amortization over remaining 54 months<br \/>\n6.      Requires personal guarantee<br \/>\n7.      Approved uses: accounts payable and payroll<\/p>\n<p>Checklist<\/p>\n<p>1.      Complete RMAP Loan application<br \/>\n2.      Include most recent business tax return<br \/>\n3.      Complete updated Personal Financial Statement<br \/>\n4.
