This tax scheme will burden NH residents with a tax no other state &#8211; not even liberal Massachusetts &#8211; has dared to pass. The NHGOP released the following statement: <\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI applaud every single Republican for standing strong and voting no on this disastrous new carbon tax,\u201d Said Chairman Stephen Stepanek. \u201cThe Democrats are out of control and are coming for the wallets of every New Hampshire resident with their radical far left agenda.  Representative Lee Oxenham&#8217;s socialist fantasy is bad news for New Hampshire taxpayers. It&#8217;s imperative that Republicans take back the majority in 2020.
